Hey, good morning everyone—Lee Asher here with Asher House Wellness. I wanted to share a simple one-minute meditation that I use to feel grounded and present. It’s something you can practice on your own or with your pets nearby to create a moment of calm connection.
Find Your Sanctuary - Choose a quiet, comfortable spot—whether indoors or outside—where you and your pets can relax and settle in together.
Deep Breathing (1 minute) - Close your eyes and take a slow, deep inhale. Exhale fully. Let your attention follow the rise and fall of your breath for one minute. Picture yourself becoming more centered with each breath.
Silent Pause (40 seconds) - After your minute of breathing, sit in stillness. Notice your surroundings, the sounds around you, or even the gentle presence of your dog beside you. Let the quiet bring you into the moment.
Return & Repeat - Repeat this breathing–pause cycle as often as you’d like. Like anything new, it may feel unfamiliar at first, but the more you practice, the more natural and grounding it becomes.
