If my animals feel free, I feel free—and this spot is where that freedom truly comes alive. Nestled in the heart of the Asher House Sanctuary, this wide-open meadow offers the perfect backdrop for meditation, reflection, and creative planning. Every time I bring my pack here, I’m reminded of:
Their journey to rescue: I think about what each dog endured before finding a home with us—abandonment, shelter stress, loneliness—and how far they’ve come.
Our shared mission: How many lives we’ve already saved, and all the future rescues waiting for a second chance.
The gift of presence: In this peaceful, natural setting—birdsong overhead, the river’s gentle flow, wildflowers at our paws—it’s easy to simply be ourselves.
Journaling & “Future Facts”
I love to sit here with my notebook, capturing thoughts and insights as they flow. Lately, I’ve shifted from writing “goals” to declaring future facts—a simple language tweak that transforms possibility into commitment:
“By July 1, I will have launched our new natural pet wellness line. By year’s end, we will expand our supplements to include human daily nutritional blends.”
Why “future facts” instead of goals?
Goals feel optional—50/50 odds of success.
Future facts demand action. If $500,000 were on the line to lose 10 pounds by month’s end, you’d make it happen no matter what. That shift in mindset—treating ambitions as non-negotiable facts—requires assembling a dedicated team and taking full responsibility for results.
Building the Right Team
Declaring a future fact means:
Recruiting specialists who share our pet and human wellness passion.
Cultivating accountability—weekly check-ins, data dashboards, and a supportive culture rooted in our core values: compassion, integrity, and wellness within.
Why This Matters for Asher House Wellness
Mindful Leadership: When I embody freedom and presence, my animals—and our community—feel it too.
Holistic Growth: Future facts propel us beyond wishful thinking into tangible progress, whether we’re scaling our sanctuary, launching new human supplements, or rescuing more dogs and cats.
Mission-Driven Impact: Every future fact we fulfill extends our reach—contributing to well-being for pets and people, and deepening the bond between them
This meadow is more than a scenic overlook—it’s a living classroom for mindful living, compassion-driven action, and holistic wellness. Here, I commit to our shared future facts and invite you to do the same:
What’s your first future fact for the week?
How will you mobilize your team—human or furry—to make it come true?
Whenever you need inspiration or a reminder of our mission—“Wellness within leads to greatness without”—just return here in spirit, breathe in the open air, and know that freedom and purpose go paw in hand.
Love,
Lee Asher & the Asher House Wellness Team
